Signals of Resilience in the U.S. Economy

Recent earnings calls from major retailers suggest that consumer confidence, as expressed in total retail sales, is outperforming consensus expectations, while online shopping has also continued to post steady gains. This highlights a key element of resilience in the U.S. economy and supports the notion of continued growth and expansion of e-commerce infrastructure, a sector that shows every indication of

having a long runway ahead. Amazon’s recent pledge to double same-day delivery facilities provides further support.

In the coming weeks, we’ll be releasing some more in-depth commentary concerning the Dallas Logistics market. We’ve noticed that as the economy has cooled this year, much of the media commentary around this market has been, in our estimation, a bit off the mark. You can see a preview of this piece below (under Coming Insights). As always, thank you for being part of our network!

Dallas: A Tale of Two Cities

Reading the headlines, you might think that Dallas-Fort Worth’s deep construction pipeline is destined to bury the market with a huge amount of vacancy. In reality, the DFW logistics market is well positioned to remain one of the strongest in the country. How can this be? Because DFW is a tale of two cities.

Addressing Hunger in Our Community

BLP’s Dallas Office was honored to host the Mission Oak Cliff Volunteer Day on 9/13 at the Mission Oak Cliff Food Pantry in Dallas. Mission Oak Cliff is an outstanding organization that is working hard to break the cycle of poverty in the Oak Cliff section of Dallas. We were thrilled to be able to support the cause in our own small way by helping restock the food pantry.
